Our Vision

While at a large CPA firm, Doug was often troubled that only the very large companies could afford his services. He always thought that with lower overhead, the same quality of knowledge and level of service could be provided but at much lower rates. The firm was founded on this concept. We feel a high level of quality and exceptional service can be delivered to small and medium sized businesses and complex individuals at an affordable price. Further, we think this can be done while providing quality of life to our firm’s staff. After 27 years this is our Firm. We are former big firm professionals that are providing our clients with the big firm level of service and knowledge at affordable prices while maintaining our quality of life and enjoyable accounting careers.

Our Market

First, our firm serves a distinct group of individual clients with complex tax needs. This group is made up of executive level corporate employees, higher net worth taxpayers and entrepreneurial taxpayers. This practice area is in part a carryover from our past careers at larger firms where we served the executive groups of our large clients. After leaving the large firms, a portion of our executive clients followed us as well as additional executive clients that found their way to us. Additionally, we work with several high net worth individuals and families on their tax planning and preparation needs as well as estate planning needs. Our individual practice niche also includes many taxpayers with complex tax situations resulting from entrepreneurial business ventures.
Second, our firm serves a group of small/medium sized businesses. These range in size from $500k to $25M in sales and cover several dozen of the typical industries seen in our region. Numerous clients in this group have businesses based in or around the real estate industry. These include golf/housing projects, land speculation, residential real estate rehab, commercial real estate rental, historic building restoration/preservation, residential construction, commercial construction, road and bridge construction and commercial/residential real estate management. We also serve clients in the aviation, home health care, law, and machining industries.
